A very good overview of the issues surrounding Yoga in the Christian churches. Starts out with the history and meaning of Yoga and its focus on connecting with the spirit world. For example, I had not realized that all the positions (asanas) practiced in yoga are honoring and seeking one of the Hindu gods. I have checked out the facts presented here by exploring Yoga sites to find out what they teach. They all confirm that there is no such thing as a non religious practice of Yoga. After searching out the matter, I would conclude that dabbling in Yoga is somewhat analogous to dabbling with ouiga boards. They are both doorways to the occult. A dangerous place for Christians to hang out if they want to hang on to their faith.Would give it five stars, except that the composition is not as organized and concise as I prefer in my reading. I like things organized and linear.

The two (Yoga and the Body of Christ) are like oil and water - they do NOT mix! I am so glad that someone was brave enough to put out the truth on this subject.
Please read it all through before you judge!!
Highly recommend this little book. Full of truth that will open your eyes to the Yoga lie so many are falling prey too.
A well written and very informative book, even though it's been over ten years since it was published. I didn't know the extent of Yoga's relation to Hinduism before reading it.
Very good purchase. Received it in record time. Would purchase from this seller again. I am researching Yoga and how very dangerous it is for Christians so this was very helpful.
When someone suggested that Yoga could be dangerous, and even occultic to a Christian; I thought ,"what's that all about?" Well, Dave Hunt explains what that is all about and a whole lot more. It is quite amazing how Yoga and the desire to clear your mind, TM etc. has infiltrated not only our society, but our churches and Christian institutions. A very deliberate exclusion of any references to religion and selling yoga instead, as just a nice way to stretch out, has put us all in la la land. After reading this book, you will look and find that it is everywhere.
Excellent resource for studying whether or not yoga should be done by someone who is a believer in God. Yoga in its modern form may be believed to be nothing more than exercise, stretching, or relaxation, yet even yogis teach it has a deeper more spiritual meaning. Discover whether or not you should bring the principles of yoga into YOUR home, YOUR church, YOUR congregation. Study for yourself and test its principles against the teachings in the bible.
God had issue with pagan practices in the Old Testament, Yeshua (Jesus) had issue with them in the New Testament which shows us God does not change - what would make it different today? What excuses do people use to justify bringing paganism into the church and doing it in the name of God or Jesus??
A must read for any pastor, leader, or member in every church.
First there was transcendental meditation in the 60's and 70's which was an American friendly version of Hinduism. The mantra's turned out to be names from the thousands of Hindu God's and the ultimate goal was the same as Hinduism only wrapped in the American flag. So too Yoga is promoted as just a cool exercise. So why not call it a cool exercise like the new Insanity video? Because the purpose is to introduce this spiritual mindset American style and acceptable to Western culture. A yogi who was offended by this hijacking of his religion said, "There is no Hinduism without Yoga and no Yoga without Hinduism."
